Haven’t painted my boyfriend Jake in a while, so I decided it was time. The parrots like to hang out on the deck in their “trees” and duck the hummingbirds. I perch at the table with a glass of wine or a water and enjoy the late summer ambience. I do believe the hummingbird migration has begun. Many, many females cruising through.
When they spot MBJ (my boyfriend Jake), they’ll come in and hover about 10″ from him. I think the irridescent green and blue in Jake’s feathers fools them into thinking maybe he’s the most ginormous hummer they’ve ever seen! And then he makes a parrot call and ruins the whole effect…
