I know I usually post in the morning, but I’m so excited by this painting, I couldn’t wait until tomorrow. One of the most beautiful aspects of a deck located container garden is the ease of access. I always stick a few pots about, but generally within a week or 2 I’ve tired of the heat and flowers get all spindly and wilty.
This year, I’m planning to make my deck into another studio where I can paint my constructed landscape in the shade and with a cold glass of water sitting nearby.
I’m working on a modified color palette. It makes me think of that great colorist, Wolf Kahn. It’s amazing how much continuous thought and planning goes into even an abstract representation of life! I’m so enjoying the point/counter-point of color and the way it plays off of itself and it’s neighbors. I hope you enjoy it as well!
