Okay, I’ve never been to Italy, but I love Italian food and I read Eat, Pray, Love when it was sent out to certain libraries as a pre-release. I think that qualifies me to interpret a late afternoon on the piazza in Italy.
In my mind, the breeze is blowing, the Chianti is just the right temperature, the bread is fresh and hot. The flowers are abundant and luxurious, the women are gorgeous and the men delightfully handsome. No, this is not Garrison Keiller, I’m not going to say anything about the children except that they’re all extraordinarily cute.
Please enjoy the little detour into Italy as much as I have!
